Amaro Sour
A bittersweet twist on the whiskey sour, combining herbal amaro with bourbon, fresh lemon, and silky egg white foam.
- 1½ ozamaro
- ¾ ozbourbon
- 1 ozfresh lemon juice
- ¼ ozsimple syrup
- 1 wholeegg white
- Lemon twist, cocktail cherrygarnish
- 1Add amaro, bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white to a shaker without ice.
- 2Dry shake vigorously for 15 seconds to emulsify the egg white.
- 3Add ice and shake again for another 15 seconds until well-chilled.
- 4Double strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
- 5Garnish with a lemon twist and a cocktail cherry.
