Ingredients
  • 8 ozginger ale(chilled; or lemon-lime soda, or half of each)
  • ½ ozgrenadine(up to 3/4 oz, loaded into the syringe)
  • 1 wholemaraschino cherry(or 2)
  • 1 ozvodka(up to 2 oz for an adults-only Dirty Shirley)

Instructions
  1. 1Fill a highball glass or clean lab beaker with the chilled soda.
  2. 2Drop in one or two maraschino cherries.
  3. 3For adults only, stir in 1 to 2 oz of vodka.
  4. 4Draw 1/2 to 3/4 oz of grenadine into a needle-free plastic shot syringe.
  5. 5Stand the syringe in the glass and let each guest inject the grenadine to make the drink "bleed" red.
