Ingredients

  • 2 ozblanco tequila
  • ¾ ozfresh lime juice(freshly squeezed)
  • ¾ ozgrenadine(real pomegranate preferred)
  • 4 dashangostura bitters
  • 🍋lime wheel(garnish)

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.
  3. Strain into a highball glass filled with cubed ice.
  4. Garnish with a lime wheel.

Discovered by Charles H. Baker at La Cucaracha Bar in Mexico City and documented in his 1939 book The Gentleman's Companion. Named after the Mexican revolutionary era firing squads.
