  • 2 ozwhite rum
  • 1 ozbrandy
  • 1 ozgin
  • 2 ozfresh orange juice
  • 2 ozfresh lemon juice
  • 1 ozorgeat(almond syrup)
  • 🍋orchid and mint sprig(garnish)

Instructions

  1. Combine rum and brandy and gin and orange juice and lemon juice and orgeat in a shaker with ice
  2. Shake well and strain into a scorpion bowl filled with crushed ice
  3. Add long straws for sharing
  4. Float a small amount of overproof rum in the center volcano well
  5. Light carefully for presentation then extinguish before drinking
  6. Garnish with orchids and mint sprigs

📜 History

This shareable punch originated at Trader Vic's and became a party centerpiece. The volcano bowl with its flaming center made it perfect for disco era group celebrations.
