Notes
Pro Tips

Choose sweet potatoes with consistent diameter for uniform rounds. Don't crowd the pan or they'll steam instead of caramelize. Whipping the goat cheese makes it easier to dollop and gives it a lighter texture. Warm sweet potatoes help the cheese soften slightly.

History & Origin

Sweet potatoes have been cultivated in the Americas for at least 5,000 years. This modern appetizer treatment plays on the Southern tradition of candied sweet potatoes, replacing marshmallows with sophisticated goat cheese. The combination of sweet potato, honey, and pecans celebrates the autumn harvest.
