History & Origin

Brazil is one of the world's largest coffee producers, and the combination of cachaça and coffee is a natural union in Brazilian drinking culture. The Batida de Café brings together two of Brazil's most iconic exports — its native spirit and its celebrated coffee — in a creamy shaken drink enriched with sweetened condensed milk. The format follows the classic batida template: cachaça as the base, fruit or flavoring as the body, and condensed milk for sweetness and texture. Brazilian bartenders have made coffee batidas for decades, and the addition of coffee liqueur deepens the roasted character.
