History & Origin

The Moscow Mule was created in the United States in 1941 and went on to become one of the most widely adapted cocktail formats worldwide — its ginger beer, citrus, and spirit template proving endlessly versatile. The Maracujá Mule adapts it for Brazilian taste by substituting cachaça for vodka and adding the juice of the passion fruit (maracujá), one of Brazil's most beloved tropical fruits. The result amplifies both the tropical and the effervescent qualities of the original, and became a popular modern addition to Brazilian cocktail menus.
