📜 History

The Mint Julep has roots in 18th-century America, with the earliest known written reference from 1784. It became the official drink of the Kentucky Derby in 1938, where more than 80,000 are served each year. The non-alcoholic Mint Julep became a popular mocktail offering in the mid-2020s, served at Derby watch parties and spring events for guests who prefer zero-proof options.
