π History
First documented by Difford's Guide among their recommended pisco cocktails, the Peruvian Elder Sour pairs the aromatics of pisco with the floral character of elderflower liqueur in what Difford's described as "an intriguing variation on the Margarita." By using pisco in place of tequila and elderflower liqueur as a softer, more botanical sweetener, the recipe brings a distinctly South American sensibility to the classic sour framework. The egg white is optional but transforms the texture, producing a rich, silky foam that allows the floral aromas of both the pisco and elderflower to bloom on the surface with every sip.
