  • ¾ ozSt-Germain elderflower liqueur
  • ¾ ozfresh lemon juice
  • ½ ozsimple syrup
  • 🍋lemon twist(garnish)

Instructions

  1. Combine gin and St-Germain and lemon juice and simple syrup in a shaker.
  2. Add ice and shake until well chilled.
  3. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
  4. Express a lemon twist over the drink and drop it in.

📜 History

This cocktail emerged in the mid-2000s as St-Germain elderflower liqueur became a craft bar staple. The combination of gin and elderflower became so ubiquitous it was jokingly called bartender ketchup.
