History & Origin

Witches brew punch is the classic green Halloween party bowl: scoops of lime sherbet dropped into ginger ale and pineapple juice, where the fizz whips the melting sherbet into a pale green foam. Google's 2026 Frightgeist Halloween trends report named "witches brew punch" the top trending Halloween drink of the season. The version followed here is Amee's Savory Dish's Bubbly Witches Brew, first posted in 2013 and the most-rated witches brew recipe found online, with 128 reader ratings. The same lime sherbet, ginger ale and pineapple build appears on Your Homebased Mom, Lil' Luna, SugarHero and Budget Bytes. The card itself is alcohol-free; its author suggests setting out coconut rum or fruity vodka on the side so adults can spike their own cups.
