  2. Roll puff pastry slightly to smooth creases
  3. Cut into 24 squares using pizza cutter or sharp knife
  4. Press each square into muffin cup, forming a cup shape
  5. Place a cube of brie in each pastry cup
  6. Top each with small spoonful of cranberry sauce
  7. Bake 15-18 minutes until pastry is golden and puffed
  8. Remove from oven and immediately top with pecans

💡 Pro Tips

Thaw puff pastry in refrigerator overnight for best handling. Remove brie rind or it will be chewy. Don't overfill cups or they'll overflow. Work quickly - warm pastry is harder to shape. These are best served warm but still good at room temperature.

📜 History

This party favorite combines classic holiday flavors in bite-sized form. Brie and cranberry have been paired since the 1970s when California brie production made the cheese widely accessible to American home cooks. The pastry cup format transforms the pairing into an elegant, self-contained appetizer.
