📜 History
The Chilcano de Maracuya is a tropical variation on the classic Peruvian chilcano, one of Peru's most iconic everyday cocktails. The original chilcano combines pisco, ginger ale, lime juice, and bitters for a simple and refreshing build. By swapping the lime for maracuya, the local passion fruit, bartenders created a version with a sweeter, more aromatic profile that proved enormously popular at beach bars and casual Lima restaurants. The drink captures the same effortless spirit as the original while adding the tropical brightness that makes maracuya one of Peru's most celebrated ingredients.
