  • 1 ozcitrus vodka(or regular vodka)
  • ½ ozfresh lemon juice(freshly squeezed)
  • ½ ozsimple syrup(1:1)
  • 🍋sugar rim(garnish)

Instructions

  1. Rim a shot glass with sugar by wetting the edge with lemon and dipping in sugar.
  2. Add vodka and lemon juice and simple syrup to a shaker with ice.
  3. Shake well for 10 seconds.
  4. Strain into the prepared shot glass.
  5. Serve immediately.

📜 History

The Lemon Drop shot evolved from the Lemon Drop Martini created at Henry Africas bar in San Francisco in the 1970s. The shot version became hugely popular in bars during the 1980s and 1990s.
