Legend holds this drink was invented on the island of Nordstrand in 1872 when locals wanted to drink rum at a baptism celebration without offending a strict pastor. The whipped cream hid the alcohol's aroma, but when discovered, the pastor allegedly exclaimed "Oh, you Pharisees!" - and the name stuck.
