Ingredients
- 1 ozcognac
- 1 ozwhite rum
- ΒΌ ozorange curacao
- ΒΌ ozgrenadine
- ΒΌ ozlemon juice

- Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.
- Shake until well chilled.
- Strain into a chilled coupe.
- Serve without garnish.

First appearing in Harry MacElhone's 1927 Barflies and Cocktails and later in the Savoy Cocktail Book. The drink's namesake is debated - either Sir Walter Raleigh or Sir Walter Scott. MacElhone, hailing from Scotland, may have honored the latter.
