Windex Shot
A bright blue shot named for its resemblance to the famous window cleaner, with tropical orange and blue curacao flavors.

The Windex Shot takes its name from the ubiquitous blue glass-cleaning product whose vivid cobalt color and association with household cleaning supplies gave the shot its memorable, deliberately incongruous identity. The drink achieved viral fame through the 2002 film My Big Fat Greek Wedding, in which the father character Gus Portokalos applies Windex to virtually every medical complaint, establishing the product as a cultural shorthand for a Greek-American folk cure. The shot's vivid blue color is achieved through blue curacao — the orange-flavored liqueur artificially colored blue — combined with vodka and sometimes pineapple juice or lemon-lime soda. The humor of ordering something that looks like a cleaning product proved enduringly appealing in casual bar settings, particularly at themed events.
