📜 History
The Pear Martini is a modern fruit martini that pairs the delicate sweetness of pear liqueur — made from macerated pears, often Bartlett or Williams varieties — with neutral vodka and a touch of elderflower for floral lift. Fruit martinis emerged as a genre in the 1990s and 2000s, building on the success of the Cosmopolitan and Lemon Drop Martini. The pear and elderflower combination became a particularly popular pairing in cocktail bars across Europe and North America through the 2010s.
