Instructions

  1. Add rye whiskey, maraschino liqueur, simple syrup, and bitters to a mixing glass with ice.
  2. Add a dash of absinthe.
  3. Stir until well chilled, about 30 seconds.
  4. Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
  5. Express a lemon twist over the drink and drop it in.
