Improved Whiskey Cocktail
A more refined Old Fashioned with maraschino and absinthe accents.
- 2 ozrye whiskey
- ¼ ozmaraschino liqueur
- ¼ ozsimple syrup(1:1)
- 2 dashangostura bitters
- 1 dashabsinthe
- lemon twistgarnish
- 1Add rye whiskey, maraschino liqueur, simple syrup, and bitters to a mixing glass with ice.
- 2Add a dash of absinthe.
- 3Stir until well chilled, about 30 seconds.
- 4Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
- 5Express a lemon twist over the drink and drop it in.
